NSP Girls' Basketball Player of the Game vs White Shield 12-29-25
The NSP Wildcats found their rhythm with their leader on the court as junior point guard Claire Braaflat delivered a masterclass performance. In a display of pure basketball IQ and versatility, Braaflat didn't just play the game—she dictated it from the opening tip to the final buzzer.
As the primary ball-handler, Braaflat’s impact went far beyond the box score. While a "double-double" is impressive, Braaflat’s stat line leaned toward a rare territory of dominance. She finished the night with:
16 Points: Providing consistent scoring when the team needed a bucket.
15 Assists: Finding open teammates with surgical precision.
6 Steals: Disrupting the opposition’s flow and turning defense into offense.
5 Rebounds: Showing grit in the paint despite her role on the perimeter.
The 15 assists are perhaps the most telling statistic of the night. It highlights a player who prioritizes the open shot and understands the strengths of her teammates, ensuring that the entire NSP offense stayed in sync.
Other notable stats: Harper Mortensen 31 points, Hailey Thompson 15 points, Jossi Dorval 13 points.

Such a fun weekend of Wildcat and Longhorn activities on Friday including Winterfest activities, girls basketball, and boys basketball. On Saturday we had our joint Winterfest with NSP and Berthold. We had Brown Entertainment for a DJ and the students danced and played Music Trivia. A great time was had by all. Thanks to the chaperones Mr Olson, Miss Grubb,Mr O'Shea, Mrs. Schieve, Mrs Gerding, Mr Meyers, and Mrs Hochhalter.

Winterfest Dance – Tonight at NSP! Theme: Frosted Floral Time: 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM Cost: $5 per person Dress: Semi-formal Snacks and refreshments provided The gym is beautifully decorated, and we’re all ready to dance the night away! It’s sure to be a fun and memorable evening. We can’t wait to see everyone there!

NSP Girls' Basketball Player of the Game vs Mandaree 12-22-25
Efficiency was the name of the game in the NSP Wildcats victory vs Mandaree. 8th grader Harper Mortensen delivered a performance for the record books, combining high-volume scoring with elite defensive presence.
A staggering 41 points on an ultra-efficient 67% from the floor. Harper found her spots early and never cooled off. Dominance in the paint resulted in 18 rebounds, giving the Wildcats crucial second-chance opportunities. High-level anticipation led to 5 steals, fueling the Wildcats’ transition game. Other notable stats, Violet Braaflat 7 rebounds consisting of 5 offensive rebounds. Claire Braaflat had 11 assists, and Hailey Thompson had 17 points.

The seventh graders at NSP did a bake sale to raise money for kids in need for Christmas. They were able to raise over $1,200.00 dollars to purchase gifts for families in need. Today, they went on a field trip to Minot and shopped to find as many gifts as possible to donate to Community Action Partnership in Minot. They are a wonderful organization that helps many people in the community. These students did a wonderful job! I am so proud to be their teacher.
