The first-grade class had the valuable opportunity to learn about helmet safety and brain health from two high school students, Taylor and Zailey, who are taking a medical terminology class. They delivered an engaging and interactive lesson that emphasized the importance of protecting the brain. They modeled how to properly wear a helmet. Then they gave a memorable demonstration using eggs that showed the concept effectively: one egg cracked when dropped without helmet protection, while another egg remained intact when wearing a helmet. This visual reinforced the importance of wearing helmets during activities that pose a risk of head injury. In addition to the demonstration, students participated in hands-on activities that enhanced their understanding of the topic. They created models of brains using playdoh, allowing them to explore brain structure in a hands-on way.

🐰🥚 Things were hopping in preschool! 🥚🐰

Our preschoolers had an egg-citing day filled with some favorite Easter activities! 💜💛

They kicked things off by surprising their 5th grade buddies with a “You’ve Been Egged” hunt—this time as the egg hiders, which made it extra fun!

Back in the classroom, creativity was on full display as students decorated eggs in a variety of colorful ways. 🎨🥚 Thank you to Miss Nikki and Mrs. Gathman for their help!

The highlight of the day was a special visit from the Easter Bunny! 🐰 Smiles, excitement, and a classroom egg hunt made it a moment to remember for our youngest learners.

Some bunnies really went above and beyond! A special thank you to Aiden Brown for helping make our Easter Bunny visit extra special—we have a feeling he might know a thing or two about how that bunny operates! 💛🐰 Also, thank you to Mrs. Guerrero for her help!

💜 It was a day full of fun, surprises, and ‘hoppy’ memories! 💜
