Berthold Public School Welcomes Evan Meiers as K-12 Principal for 2025-26 School Year Berthold, ND – Berthold Public School is excited to announce the hiring of Evan Meiers as the new K-12 Principal, beginning with the 2025-26 academic year! Mr. Meiers brings with him a strong background in education, leadership, and the arts. He currently serves as the Director of Bands for Minot High School in Minot, ND, where he leads the largest band program in the state. Under his leadership, the program has experienced exponential growth and earned national recognition. Mr. Meiers has also directed the highly successful “Magi Drumline,” a dynamic after-school program that has become the fastest-growing student club in Minot Public Schools and the largest drumline in North Dakota. In addition to his work in Minot, Mr. Meiers has served as a drumline director at the International Music Camp located at the International Peace Gardens, where he works with young musicians from around the world. Prior to his time in Minot, he was the 5-12 Band Director at Stanley Public Schools, where the band under his direction received the prestigious North Dakota Governor’s Band Award in 2014. Mr. Meiers holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Minot State University and a Master of Music Education from Northern State University. His contributions to education have been recognized with the 2023 Minot Public Schools Instructional Performance Award, and he is a respected clinician, adjudicator, and speaker across North Dakota and Montana. He currently serves as President of the North Dakota Band Directors Association. Outside of his professional life, Evan and his wife Erin live on a farm with their three daughters, Emery, Eila, and Eilsey. He is also an active performer in the Minot music community, contributing to ensembles like the Minot Community Band and the Minot Symphony Orchestra. Berthold Public School is thrilled to welcome Mr. Meiers and looks forward to the passion, experience, and vision he will bring to the district as he steps into his new role!

Two hundred ten high school seniors were nominated by their school principal and competed for statewide honor in the Class AA, A, and B divisions. Student selection is based on grade-point averages, ACT or SAT scores, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and leadership qualities. The North Dakota Association of Secondary School Principals will award Gold, Silver, and Bronze Team members an honor medallion. The medallions will be presented to the students at a ceremony at their school. In addition, Jericka will have a plaque honoring her achievement added to the Bomber Nation All-State Wall!
