The NSP high school art students recently learned about Batik. Batik is typically done with hot wax and dyeing fabric. The wax hardens and creates a resist so that the fabric underneath remains untouched by the dye. The art students created their Batiks by using washable school glue and acrylic paint. They took their Batiks one step further by sewing them into pillows!
