The 2nd graders explored different kinds of poems, practiced rhyming and rhythm, and worked hard writing poems of their very own. After many days of writing, illustrating, and editing, the class sent their finished transcript to Studentreasures Publishing to be made into a published book.
Then it was the big day — the books finally arrived in the mail! The students could hardly contain their excitement as they opened the box and saw their very own published poetry book called Make Me Smile. They were so excited as they flipped through the pages reading each other’s poems and admiring the illustrations. The young authors were so proud to see their hard work turned into a real book they will always treasure.
