preschoolers with parachute

Our preschoolers recently turned the gym into a world of color, movement, and laughter with parachute play! The class worked together to lift the giant rainbow parachute high in the air, then duck underneath as it floated down around them like a cozy tent.

The children added “snowballs” to the fun, shaking the parachute to make them fly off—or carefully trying to keep them on. One favorite challenge was changing places with a classmate while the parachute was overhead, which had everyone giggling and moving fast.

The fun was so contagious that even Mr. Rudolph, Dean of Students, couldn’t resist joining in!

Parachute play is more than just fun—it helps build teamwork, listening skills, coordination, and cooperation. Most of all, it filled the gym with smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of preschool joy!
