Flint Corn Prints

Our second-and third-grade students teamed up for a fun fall printmaking project. They also learned about flint corn and how Native Americans used it in many different ways.

During the project, students were introduced to art ideas like the horizon line, foreground, and background. To make their prints, they painted bubble wrap, pressed their paper on top, and then pulled it off to see the design.

The kids had a great time working together and creating their flint corn prints over the past few days!

2nd graders also got to try a fun beading project. They used pipe cleaners and colorful beads to make their own flint corn.creatingRyan and LukePrint makingHanna, Bobbi, AdelaidecreatingBeaded Flint CornPayson and Ryan
