Meet Katie Faul, a local volunteer who transforms classrooms into worlds of wonder every week right here in our school!
Every Friday, rain or shine, Miss Katie, arrives at Berthold Elementary with a tote bag overflowing with books. She has two children in the district, but also shares her volunteerism beyond just her children's classrooms. She coordinates with five different teachers to ensure she reaches a wide range of students each week. From the eager kindergartners listening to Coat of Many Colors, to the captivated third graders delving into chapters of Ragweed, her dedication is a beacon of intergenerational connection and the power of giving back. Miss Katie has a passion for fostering a love of reading in the next generation.
Her efforts are a powerful reminder that sometimes the most impactful volunteering is simply sharing your time and a good story. Our school community is brighter because of people like Miss Katie!
