buddies baking gingerbread cookies

Our preschoolers and their 5th grade buddies teamed up for a gingerbread-tastic morning of baking fun! The classroom smelled amazing as we rolled out our eggless gingerbread dough (and yes, a few daring taste-testers gave it a little nibble—yum!).

With rolling pins, parchment paper, and lots of flour, the kids worked together to get the dough just right before using all different sizes of gingerbread men cookie cutters. Then came the decorating magic — sprinkles, candy eyes, candy canes, and colorful candy buttons everywhere! 🎨

A huge shoutout to our awesome helpers Mrs. Gathman, Miss Nikki, Mrs. Guerrero, and senior helper Shayne Simons, who rolled, cut, and decorated right alongside the kiddos. The finished cookies were adorable and smelled and looked oh-so-delicious!

Each child got to take their festive creation home the next day to share with their family — the perfect ending to a sweet, memory-filled day!

Thanks to our awesome buddies for making this such a fun, memory-filled day for our littles! And don’t worry… the buddies were elbow-deep in sprinkles too, and they’re going home with their own cookie box!
