Berthold Public School

The 7th grade STEM class has been learning about the Scientific Method and measurement, specifically how to measure using the tools that are available to them. Using a ruler, they had to follow the directions and create their own Metric Monster. They had to do certain measurements like the eyes being 1.10 cm long by 1.75 cm wide, but they could put them in the body of the Monster or stack them or just have a single eye. Putting the different parts is up to them but it had to be of a certain measurement. They also had to create 3 accessories like a house, hat, earrings, teeth, and etc. It was up to them what they wanted. They had to put the measurements on their drawing with the correct units according to their ruler which was the 0.00 spot. They did a great job and had fun comparing the Monsters with others in the class!
