Hundredth Day Scavenger Hunt

In celebration of the 100th day of school yesterday, First Grade students were challenged to a scavenger hunt. Throughout the "hunt," students needed to put together puzzles, solve riddles, complete acts of kindness, venture outside, and work as a team. At the end of the "hunt," students were relieved to find out that the 100 treats they collected were to share and enjoy amongst the class. They did an awesome job collaborating and Mrs. Hennessy was happy to reward them for their efforts.

Berthold's SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) curriculum, Character Strong, has a character focus each month. Because January's focus was Perseverance, first graders were given a great opportunity to practice just that. They did not give up on the challenge. 100 days smarter looks good on you, First Grade!
