Mr. Johnson Teaching

The Bomber Nation has a familiar face attending the resource room this year.  Mr. Tucker Johnson (Class of 21) returns to Berthold after working as a paraprofessional in area schools for the last three years.  Mr. Johnson is currently enrolled in the Para to Teacher Program through Minot State University.  As a part of this program, Mr. Johnson may work as a paraprofessional in school during the day and then takes classes at night and over the summer months.  When he completes this program, he will be a fully licensed teacher in the state of North Dakota.

Working full time and going to school full time can be quite demanding, but Mr. Johnson has found a balance that allows him to do both effectively.  "Balancing work and school was challenging at first but I found ways to make it all work and give my best in the classroom and in my college courses."

Many will remember that Mr. Johnson is a Bomber Nation graduate!  When he saw that we were looking for a paraprofessional, he jumped at the chance to be back in the Bomber Nation. "I was excited to continue my journey here in Berthold.  It is fun to be on the staff side of things and I hope to make an impact on the kids by being available when I am needed."

Along with his paraprofessional duties in the resource room, Mr. Johnson also helps out with the lunch supervision and Power of ICU.  As part of these duties, he makes sure to check in with every student who is missing an assignment every day.  He is able to help them complete their work and motivate them to get caught up.

We are very pleased to have Mr. Johnson back and a part of the staff side of the Bomber Nation!
